MinistryThe Bridge illustration explains our need for Christ and His provision for that need. Small, symbolic gifts are one way to encourage your students and illustrate Biblical truths. Below are some ideas for increasing students' awareness of the significance of special days in the Christian calendar. EasterLesson IdeasFrom Immanuel Bible Church: “I like to use the Resurrection Eggs to explain the events of Holy Week. Each plastic egg has an item in it that corresponds to an event—for example, a coin in one egg would symbolize Jesus’ betrayal. You can purchase the filled eggs online or just make your own. We have a script of the major events in the Easter story that we use with the eggs. I also have developed an easy English lesson plan plan on Palm Sunday with an activity. Both the lesson plan and the Resurrection Eggs are appropriate for high beginners through intermediate students.” (Check out this website for directions to make your resurrection eggs and for many other Easter activities: http://www.rainbowcastle.org/resurrectioneggs.html) From McLean Bible Church: “In our program we have a 45-minute English lesson, 15-minute break and 45-minute English lesson. During the snack break, I do about a 10-15 minute program. My goal has been to show God’s powerful actions in history to bring us back to Himself—to walk with Him and to know the joy of the Lord.
